Breeding The Best In The Bitterroot!

We raise A.D.G.A. Champion Alpine dairy goats in the beautiful Bitterroot Valley of western Montana. Our farm offers dairy goats, weanling pack wethers and Alpine breeding service. Over the years,we have always strived to produce kids and does that excell in the show ring and the milk barn.
Pictured above is our first goat, GCH Pistolcreek Willow *M. Even though she was our first goat she has proven her worth earning her GCH status with judges calling her the perfect example of superb dairy character.

Echo Ridge's HC Avalon is wonderful representative of the type of animals we strive for. She is a show champion and a wonderful milker.
We like to see improvement in our daughters over their dams. Willow is Avalon's Grand dam. Cyprus, Avalon's dam, improved Willow in stature, length of bone, overall general appearance and most notably in the feet and legs, especially the rear pasterns. Avalon is an improvement over her dam, Cyprus, in the Mammary. She milks more, has more udder capacity, better attachment, a higher and wider rear udder, and more extension to the fore. She is a sign that we're doing something right in our breeding program - they just keep getting better and better!

Rebecca may not look it but at 11 years old, she is the oldest goat on our farm. Even at 11 she is still going strong with great udder attachment and a strong set of feet and legs. She was shown at our Ravalli County Fair and she won her class easily even though we milked her through last year. But this is the kind of performance that we have come to expect from our grand old lady. She always rises to the occasion and looks her best in the show ring.
Rebecca shows the kind of longevity we like to breed into our does and pass on to our future champions.

Top Quality Kids
Echo Ridge's KXD-Avalon's Camelot is a wonderful representative of our junior does. We look for tall, powerful, upstanding kids who excel in general appearance and dairy charecture, standing on strong feet and legs. We are extremely picky about doelings we retain - only the very best are added to our show string and breeding program.

We keep a number of A.I. bucks in our Tank. We have National Premier Sires, Spotlight Bucks, National Champion Sires, all have proven pedigrees and throw outstanding kids!
