This little lady was too good to let go of. She is a startlingly beautiful chestnut two-tone chamoisee that looks exactly like her great-grandmother, Willow, did when she was a kid. We see a lot of the qualities that Willow excels in breeding through into “Cammy” but we also see a lot of improvement.
Cammy is a May baby and is taller and longer than some of our March kids. She walks extremely wide and has a lot of openness in the escutcheon. She stands on great feet and legs. She inherited her dam, Avalon’s, wonderfully deep body and outstanding general appearance. And got the height, power, and rear-leg angulation we were hoping to see from her sire. All of our does just ooze dairy character and Cammy is no exception. She is very flat boned and has wonderful spring of rib.
Cammy’s pedigree is very impressive. Her dam has 2 legs and should finish this season. Avalon is the granddaughter of GCH Pistol creek Willow*M and Troll’s Bridge Sasin Salute. Cammy was shown twice this season, going 2X1st, 1XRGCH, 1XGCH. She and Avalon were also 2X1st for Dam and Daughter and she was a member of the Best Breeder's Trio at Northwest Fair. In both shows, Cammy was the youngest Alpine kid and was picked over older, more developed kids and yearlings to earn her GCH.
